The Groov science team brings 200+ years of combined experience and 8+ PhDs from top universities including Berkeley, Penn State, the University of Auckland, and Harvard.
Dr David Codyre
Chief Clinical Advisor
Dr David Codyre is a psychiatrist with 30+ years of experience working in the community mental health sector in New Zealand, in a range of clinical and leadership roles. He has spent the last 15 years leading development of primary mental health programmes and advocating for the strengthening of primary mental health capacity. He supports Groov to deliver clinically sound interventions, tools, and resources.
Dr Leonard Roseman
Chief Data Scientist
Dr Leonard is a highly experienced consultant and data scientist with a rich background in credit risk management, statistical analysis, and financial technology innovations. Leonard holds a PhD in Statistics from Harvard University and a BA in Physics from Swarthmore College. He is the lead scientist on the groundbreaking Groov Insights project.
Dr Laura Hamill
Chief Science Advisor
Dr Laura works closely across all teams to ensure everything we do is grounded in the latest science and research. She is particularly focused on informing the science behind Groov Anywhere. As an organisational psychologist, she blends rigorous research with real-world experience to transform business strategies from the inside out, aligning them with what employees truly need and want.
Dr Fiona Crichton
VP Behaviour Science
Dr Fiona is a health psychology specialist with hands-on experience designing effective programmes to improve health behaviour in the community. Her research has been published in a range of peer-reviewed journals. An engaging and motivating speaker, you can often find Fiona delivering live sessions, webinars, keynotes, and bespoke coaching and consulting as part of Groov Together.
Dr Carolyn Pritchett
Director of Workplace Science
Dr Carolyn is a neuroscientist and wellbeing coach with years of experience studying the impact of stress and positive psychology. Carolyn provides coaching and scientific expertise to the Groov team and customers and works across all aspects of the Groov platform, including Groov Anywhere, Groov Insights, and Groov Together.

Dr Siale Foliaki
Dr Siale is a graduate of the Otago University School of Medicine and became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2006. He has dual fellowship as both an adult and child psychiatrist and has played senior clinical roles within the Counties Manukau District Health Board as a Consultant Psychiatrist.
Prof Stephen Hinshaw
Professor Stephen Hinshaw is a Professor of Psychology at UC Berkeley, where he was Department Chair from 2004-2011, and Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences at UC San Francisco. He has authored over 370 articles and chapters plus 12 books, including a memoir which was awarded Best Book in Autobiography/Memoir at the American BookFest in 2018.
Dr Ainsleigh Cribb-Su’a
Dr Ainsleigh Cribb-Su’a (Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Tamaterā, Ngāti Kauwhata) is a Clinical Psychologist who had worked extensively in child and adolescent mental health both clinically and in leadership roles. She is on the New Zealand Psychologists Board and has worked in governance across academia and the NGO sector.
Dr Jeffrey Krebs
Dr Jeffrey Krebs is an Internal Medicine specialist in San Diego, California. He received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego, and completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He is currently as Associate Clinical Professor at U.C. San Diego School of Medicine.
