Groov Workplace Zone


What is Groov Workplace Zone?

Groov was originally created as a workplace wellbeing platform, so we’re excited to launch Groov Workplace Zoneand our new business tiers: Plus and Premium. Leading workplaces across New Zealand and Australia have already gifted Groov to thousands of people to help them be healthier, happier, and more resilient. However, two things have happened:

  1. The COVID-19 pandemic led us to release a free version of the app across Australia and New Zealand. Many people in the workplaces using Groov have not linked up their account to the workplace subscription their business is on!

  2. The previous way to link up your account was via email, and we know that wasn’t the ideal experience - it’s much better now to do it in the app!

You can now link your Groov account to your organisation in a few simple steps in the app (it takes less than a minute). Once done, you’ll have access to Groov Workplace Zone which will unlock exclusive content, new features, and special benefits for you and your workplace.

I’ve already got a Groov account from my workplace. How can I check if it’s a Groov Workplace Zone account and linked up? 

Great! You might already be linked up if you downloaded the app from the email link when your company launched Groov. The new in-app steps make it easier to get set up.

You can check by going to Me > Account in the Groov app. This is where you can see if you have linked your account to your workplace. If you haven’t linked your account you’ll see a red icon, if you have you’ll see a green tick. There’s more info on this article here.

Can I use my personal email address for my Groov Workplace Zone account?

Yes, you can! We suggest using your work email address for your Groov Workplace Zone account but you can also use your personal email address if you don’t have a work email address, or prefer to use your personal email address. What if I leave my current workplace?

When you move jobs, your Groov Workplace Zone account can move with you. All you need to do is link it to your new workplace in the Groov app. If your new workplace doesn’t have Groov Workplace Zone, we recommend talking to your new HR, People, and Culture, or Leadership Team about getting Groov Workplace Zone. You can share this link or request more information here.

There will be free versions of the app available to the public in New Zealand and Australia you can access if you no longer have a Groov Workplace Zone subscription. Alternatively, you can pause your Groov Workplace Zone account or sign up for a business account yourself.

Does anything change by linking up to Groov Workplace Zone

We will be working with organisations to communicate what’s changing and exciting new features coming over the next weeks and months. And remember, your privacy is very important to us. No personal data is shared with your workplace, whether your Groov account is linked or not.

What if my workplace doesn't have Groov Workplace Zone

There will be a free version of the Groov app available to the public in New Zealand and Australia you can use. If you want access to the content and features included in Groov Workplace Zone on the Plus and Premium plans, talk to your HR, people and culture, or leadership team at your organisation about getting Groov.
