Jazz Thornton

Mental health activist, author, director, speaker and co-founder of mental health charity Voices of Hope.

Jazz Thornton has dedicated her life to spreading hope and creating change in the mental health space, having survived a long battle with mental illness herself.

Growing up in small-town New Zealand, she is now globally recognised for her work in the mental health space, with international speaking engagements, documentaries, a TedTalk, and a dedicated and growing following on social media.

Jazz genuinely connects with people from all walks of life. She’s as comfortable speaking to a school as she is to a room full of CEO’s and business leaders.

Jazz regularly contributes content to the Groov platform and takes part in online events for customers.

 
 
 

Shantelle Thompson OAM

World champion, speaker, professional athlete, thought leader and warrior.

Known as the Barkindji Warrior in her community, Shantelle Thompson is the 3x Brazilian Jiu-jitsu world champion and was NAIDOC Sportsperson of the Year 2019. She was awarded the Medal in the Order of Australia in 2021 for services to the Indigenous community of Victoria.

A proud Aboriginal woman, Shantelle is passionate about inclusion, diversity, and mental wellbeing. She has an incredible story of courage and resilience, having overcome challenges like bullying, adversity and abuse in her life.

Based in Australia, she is a hugely inspiring and moving speaker. She has a straight-forward and down to earth approach, and her advice is practical and achievable.

Jase Te Patu

Jase Te Patu is a popular TED talk speaker and an award-winning wellbeing advocate with over 30 years of experience in the health and wellness sector.

Jase is the Founder and CEO of M3 Mindfulness. Wellbeing, particularly mental wellbeing is Jase’s passion. He facilitates, leads, and inspires many with his simple mindfulness-based techniques that have helped the likes of Hollywood director James Cameron, the All Blacks, the Silver Ferns, Pharmacy Guild of New Zealand, MBEI, Te Tumu Paeroa, NZ Book Awards Trust, Te Rito Maioha NZ, various Kahui Ako Leadership Teams throughout Aotearoa, The Green Party of NZ, The British High Commission, Mental Health and Addictions KPI Benchmarking - Te Pou, Deloitte, Foodstuffs NZ, Restaurant Brands, Huia Publishers, Exercise NZ, AM and Co, and the New Zealand Defence Force and many more corporate clients.

His work at M3 encompasses mindfulness, movement and Maori stories in a series of videos and live sessions taught to teachers, students and whanau members in all school communities.

 
 
 
 

Dr Nic Gill

Nic Gill is a professional strength and conditioning coach and consultant with huge expertise in rugby and other sports. He is a staff wellness and fitness consultant for a number of international corporate organisations and also to a limited number of individuals who take their own health and fitness seriously.

He has regularly featured on customer events and webinars for Groov, along with being a content contributor in the Groov app.

 

Nikki Hart

Nikki Hart is a New Zealand Registered Nutritionist with over 20 years experience of helping clients achieve their nutritional goals, and host of two TV Series 'Eat yourself whole' and 'The fat chance'. Nikki provides advice over all aspects of nutrition, and along with helping clients who have type 2 diabetes, raised cholestrol and high blood pressure, she also has a speciality in hydration for sports. 

As a favoured public health speaker, you’ll likely have seen Nikki commenting on a wide range of nutrition topics across TV, print and radio. Nikki has also been a contributor to the Groov app so you’ll find some amazing articles from her in there.
