What’s new: Spread all the goodness with our new sharing feature
Sharing what you love in the Mentemia app just got way easier. Here are 6 ways you can use the new sharing feature to boost the people around you.
Sharing is caring
That’s why you can now share articles and videos from the Mentemia app via social media, SMS, email, and apps like Slack and WhatsApp!
The person you’re sharing with will be able to see the content across different platforms (including online), regardless of if they have the Mentemia app on their phone yet.
Here’s how it works:
Find a video or article in the Mentemia app
Click the three dots on the right hand-side of your screen
Click ‘Share’ and choose how you want to share it!
6 ways you can use the new sharing feature to boost people around you
Sharing with friends and family
1. Share the good vibes
Been inspired or enjoyed the feel-good vibes from something in the Mentemia app? Share it on Facebook or directly with a friend through messenger!
This delish recipe for Chicken Eggplant Parmigiana is a great one to share with a pal or someone in your household, and make a plan to get in the kitchen together and try it for yourselves!
2. Support someone in a specific situation
Life often throws us curveballs. If you have a friend dealing with a tough situation, you could share a supportive article from the Mentemia app to help them get through.
If someone is dealing with a loss, you could share the article ‘Coping with grief’ which is packed full of resources and support services specifically for people in that situation.
3. Educate and help people understand
Not sure how to explain why gratitude, breathing or mindfulness work for you? Or want to inspire a friend to give it a go?
Share an article with someone to help explain the benefits and give them a friendly push to give it a go. ‘What is mindfulness, and how can it help?’ or ‘The benefits of napping’ do a really good job of explaining exactly why these things are great for our mental wellbeing.
Sharing in the workplace
4. Be a thought leader
Sharing content on networking platforms like LinkedIn is a fantastic way to raise awareness of the importance of mental wellbeing. You can also be a thought leader by sharing your own two cents in your post and sparking a positive conversation.
Try sharing something like this list of the most-watched Ted Talks and share which one was your favourite and your top learnings from that talk.
5. Individualise your response
If someone in your team or organisation is going through a stressful time, sharing an article or useful piece of content is a helpful way to show support and offer some guidance.
For example, if you have team members in customer-facing roles that are having tricky conversations, sharing ‘How to handle tough conversations with customers’ could really help them.
6. Support your leaders
Share bite-sized tips with your leaders on Slack or Microsoft Teams, to educate and empower them. ‘Leading a remote team’ would be a perfect one to start with, but there are so many more great articles in the Mentemia app.
